They often say, “it takes a village” to raise a child. Cindy is part of “The Village.” A childhood neighbor and my close friend’s mom, Cindy has been like a second mom to me for 20-plus years. Cindy is also a fellow Pittsburg High School graduate from the class of 1975. During middle school, Cindy was the Vice President, and my mom was the President in their school’s student council. Fast forward, Cindy’s son Bret and I are very close friends, and we were all childhood neighbors. I couldn’t envision anyone more suitable to assist make important decisions on behalf of this scholarship.
